Chiapan Giant Musk Turtle

Distribution: East Oaxaca and south Chiapas Mexico, into Guatemala and El Salvador.

Empire Stock: exported from Guatemala.

Size: Up to 25 cm.

Habitat: Various bodies of slow moving water.

Diet: I feed Mazuri Turtle, shrimp, fish, snails, and earthworms.

Sexing: Males have longer thicker tails and rough patches on the thighs.

Breeding: Genotypic Sex Determination (GSD)

Notes: Care is similar to other Musks, just take into account their larger size.
