Phrynops (Batrachemys) nasuta
Common Toad-head Turtle Distribution: French Guiana and Suriname. Empire Stock: WC exported from Suriname. Size: Up to 32 cm. Habitat: Found in a variety of slow moving bodies of water. Diet: I feed mine Mazuri Freshwater Turtle pellets, fish, and snails. Sexing: Males have longer thicker tails and a slightly concave plastron. Breeding: Genotypic Sex Determination (GSD) Notes: They rarely leave the water and I have not observed them basking. Care Sheets: |
