Distribution: Peninsular India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Habitat: Deciduous forests, and dry savannah.

Diet: Spineless Opuntia, grasses, romaine. Edible Plants

Sexing: Females achieve a larger size. Males have a concave plastron and longer thicker tails.
