Florida Distribution: entire state.

Identification: 11.4 cm. Cranial ridges that end in knobs behind eyes.

Here you can see the cranial ridges with the knob endings. The large swellings behind the ridges are the parotoid glands.

The Redfoot Tortoise houses are a magnet for Southern Toads. No doubt following the insects that are attracted to the tortoise food and waste.

Amphiplexus.
