Florida Distribution: entire state.

Identification: up to 26.7 cm. Has 6 light stripes. Males have blue bellies. The scales of this species lack the "shiny" appearance of skinks.

 Very fast and wary lizards you don't get often get this close to one.

Its underside - the white belly means it is a female.
