Greenhouse Frog

Florida distribution: INTRODUCED SPECIES. Entire state.

Identification: up to 3 cm.

These small frogs are usually found on the ground in moist areas under cover of leaf or man made debris.

This adult frog does not have a free swimming tadpole. Eggs are laid on moist earth and the embryo develops in the egg and hatches out as a tiny froglet.

This is an adult frog, you can imagine how easily they disappear in grass or leaf litter.
